In his drawings, wall paintings and installations, Christoph Hinterhuber develops an individual universe, wherein the image is reduced and synthesized without reaching pure abstraction: the observer perceives a universe of graphic signs that surround and provoke him, to ask for the meaning of the sign that the artist proposes. These sign compositions – they are often symbols that remind of the rules of typographism – lead the perceiver to an extraordinary perception game. At first sight, he thinks to recognize
them, however, after a while he understands that these logotypes are new meaningful signs, which generate again and continuously novel meanings by arranging differently and repeatedly.

Originally coming from commercial photography, the artist Rudi Molacek is inspired by an image-like, nature-bound environment, which he approaches metaphorically, in order to let incline his crossmedial works towards an open semantic relation between an assumedly haptically tangible recognition and a conceptual, abstract seriality. At Kunstverein Medienturm, he shows a space-defining installation, made of air mattresses and transfers their variegation to the pure colour level in a video that comes with the installation.

Nicolas Jasmin, alias N.I.C.J.O.B., analyses moments of cinematic narration which he mixes, loops and rearranges, in order to construct versions of a reality which he resolves into anti-contemplative, visual and acoustic sequences. By using found footage as basic material for processing, N.I.C.J.O.B. explores shapes of the subconsciousness in film, or those structures beneath the surface that provoke a longing for the ultimate gaze.
